When I first came across Guitar Hero 3 for Xbox, I didn't even own an Xbox and had not tried video games for ages. I did have an old PS2 but had got fed up of that so it sat in the back of the closet.

One afternoon, I was over at my friend's house when his kids began to play Guitar Hero 3. Before long, we couldn't resist the temptation to give it a go. When the kids got bored we all continued to play like a load of wannabe rockers.

I had a blast and immediately went out and bought an Xbox and the Guitar Hero 3 game for my own house, so I could play anytime I felt like it. The game is great because it features lots of tracks from some great bands and the tracks are originals, not a load of cover versions like the previous versions of the game.

The bands are mostly very recognizable to the older generation, so I think the manufacturers know who has the money to buy this game - and use it!

You can also get upgrades via the internet when you have this game which is a great feature. Guitar Heros 3 is a great updated version, with lots of great features to make it unique from the earlier ones.

The ability to play online so that you could play with other players, whatever their skill level, is a great attraction. This great game is easier to use if you are a new player and is just great for just about anyone to try. The earlier games didn't have anywhere near the amount of cheats that this version does. But, I would usually prefer to unlock the levels by mastering the game, sometimes knowing the cheats and their code makes the game more enjoyable.

It is true that Guitar Hero 3 is an improvement on the previous versions of the game and that seems to be unusual with this type of game. Xbox and Guitar Hero 3 have managed to make a great game which appeals to all age groups.
